Effective October 26, 2026.
This site is cooperatively operated by the owners, employees, friends and family of Thoughtrights.com, Dungeoneer.com, and Food.net (collectively Thoughtrights). By accessing or using Dungeoneer.com (the "site"), including the Dungeoneer bot for Discord, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
The site is made of three kinds of material, and different terms apply to each.
Our material. The site's pages, code, design, artwork, writing and the generators themselves ("Material") are owned by Thoughtrights and protected by U.S. copyright and international treaties. You may not copy, modify, republish, distribute or re-use Material except as these terms allow. You may download Material for your personal, non-commercial use, provided you keep intact all copyright and other notices. Permission to re-purpose our Material for any other use is granted on a case-by-case basis; we welcome such requests at content@thoughtrights.com.
Licensed third-party material. The site incorporates content from others under open licenses, including game content from the System Reference Documents under the Creative Commons Attribution license, heraldic art and typefaces under Creative Commons Attribution and Attribution-ShareAlike licenses, and content under the ORC License. That material belongs to its owners and is governed by its own license, not by the paragraph above. Our Credits page names each source and its license. Where these terms and a third party's license differ, the license governs that material, including any right it gives you to copy and share it with attribution.
What the site generates for you. The taverns, people, cities, factions, shops, coats of arms, menus, adventures, documents and other things the site generates at your request are yours to use in your own games and your own writing. Any licensed third-party material within them remains under its own license and keeps its attribution. This does not transfer our Material to you, and it does not permit automated or bulk extraction of the site's content or data.
You must be at least 16 years of age to use this site or to register for an account. By using the site, you represent that you are at least 16 years old. We do not knowingly direct the site to, or collect personal information from, children under 16.
You may create an account with an email address and password, or by signing in with Google or Discord. You agree to provide accurate information when registering; you are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials confidential and for all activity under your account; and you agree to notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. One account per person. You may delete your account at any time from your account page; doing so removes your journal and your sign-in sessions. We may suspend or terminate any account at our discretion, including for violation of these terms.
Using the Dungeoneer bot in Discord creates a record of your Discord user so that what you generate there can be kept for you and, if you later sign in on the site with Discord, joined to your account. Your use of Discord itself is governed by Discord's terms.
What you save to your journal is yours. We store it so you can open it again, and we do not read it, publish it or use it except to operate the site. You can delete any page of it, or all of it, at any time.
When you share a sheet, you publish a copy of it to anyone who has the link, with no sign-in, for about six months. Share only what you are willing to make public. When you use the bot, what you generate is posted to the Discord channel where you used it.
You are responsible for what you type into the site, including the names you give to the people and places it makes, the text you give the translator, and what you write in the contact form. You agree not to submit anything unlawful, defamatory, harassing, obscene or infringing, or anything containing malicious code. We may remove shared content at our discretion.
The site is supported by advertising served by Google AdSense. We do not control the advertisements shown and are not responsible for the advertisers' products, services or sites. Our Privacy Policy describes the cookies used for advertising and how to opt out of personalized ads.
The site contains links to Internet sites maintained by third parties ("third party sites"). Thoughtrights does not operate or control the information, products or services on those sites. The materials on this site and on third party sites are provided "as is" and without warranties of any kind, either expressed or implied. To the fullest extent permissible under applicable law, Thoughtrights disclaims all warranties, expressed or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Thoughtrights does not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that the site or the server that makes it available are free of viruses or other harmful components. Thoughtrights makes no representations regarding the correctness, accuracy, timeliness or reliability of the materials on this site or on third party sites, or of anything the site generates. You (and not Thoughtrights) assume the entire cost of any necessary maintenance, repair or correction.
Under no circumstances, including negligence, shall Thoughtrights or its affiliates be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages that result from the use of, or the inability to use, the site or its materials, including loss of anything saved to a journal or shared by a link. You specifically acknowledge and agree that Thoughtrights is not liable for any defamatory, offensive or illegal conduct of any user. If you are dissatisfied with the site or with these terms, your sole and exclusive remedy is to discontinue using the site.
If you believe that material on the site infringes your copyright, please send a notice identifying the work, the location of the material on the site, and your contact information to content@thoughtrights.com. We will respond to properly submitted notices in accordance with applicable law.
Your use of the site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference. Please review it to understand how we handle information collected through the site and the bot.
Thoughtrights may revise these Terms of Use at any time by updating this page with a new effective date. Your continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
This agreement is effective until terminated by Thoughtrights, at any time without notice. In the event of termination, you are no longer authorized to access portions of this service, and the restrictions on our Material, the disclaimers and the limitations of liability set forth in this agreement shall survive.
This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law. If any provision of this agreement shall be unlawful, void, or for any reason unenforceable, then that provision shall be deemed severable from this agreement and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions.
