Effective October 26, 2026.
This site, Dungeoneer.com, is cooperatively operated by the owners, employees, friends and family of Thoughtrights.com, Dungeoneer.com, and Food.net (collectively Thoughtrights). This Privacy Policy describes the information we collect, how we use it, who else sees it, and the choices you have. It covers the website, the share links it makes, and the Dungeoneer bot for Discord. By using the site or the bot, you agree to the practices described here.
We aim to collect as little personal information as possible. Most of the site can be used without an account and without telling us anything. Depending on how you use it, we may hold:
We do not ask for your age and do not direct the site to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it.
The site itself sets one cookie, and only when you sign in: a session cookie that keeps you signed in. It is not readable by scripts and is removed when you sign out. The site also keeps a few preferences in your browser's own storage, such as how your journal is laid out; these stay in your browser and are not sent to us.
Google Analytics and Google AdSense, described in the next section, set cookies of their own. Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Disabling cookies may affect signing in and some features of the site.
We use the information we hold to run the site and the bot, to keep your journal and let you open it again, to serve the sheets you share, to answer your messages, to see how the site is used so we can improve it, to protect the security and integrity of the site, and to comply with legal obligations. We do not read your journal except as needed to operate the site or to investigate a problem you have reported.
We do not sell your personal information. The following services are part of how the site works, and each receives some information about you under its own privacy policy:
We may also share information when required by law or to respond to lawful requests, to protect our rights, property or safety or that of others, or in connection with a transfer of the site or its assets. The site contains links to third-party sites that we do not operate or control; this Privacy Policy does not apply to those sites, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies.
A share link shows the shared sheet to anyone who has the link, with no sign-in. Share only what you are willing to make public. Shares expire on their own about six months after they are made, and are then removed.
Your account and journal are kept until you delete them. Signed-in sessions are kept until you sign out or they expire. Share links are kept for about six months. Server logs are kept for a limited time for security and troubleshooting. Messages you send us are kept as long as needed to deal with them.
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect information, including storing passwords only as one-way hashes. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Deleting your account. You can delete your account yourself at any time from your account page. Deleting it removes your journal, your sign-in sessions and the account record immediately. Links you have shared are stored separately from your account, are not removed when it is deleted, and expire on their own about six months after they were made.
Your journal. You can delete any page of your journal at any time from the journal itself.
Asking us. You may write to us at content@thoughtrights.com to ask what information we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted, including the Discord bot's record of you. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable law, such as the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information. We will respond to such requests as required by applicable law.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time by posting a revised version on this page with a new effective date. Your continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
Your use of the site is also governed by our Terms of Use. If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or our handling of your information, please contact us at content@thoughtrights.com.
